Our Strategic Plan outlines six key priorities that will guide The Giving Grove’s growth and impact over the next three years. These priorities reflect our commitment to expanding community-led urban orchards, fostering partnerships, and ensuring long-term sustainability. Below, you’ll find an overview of our strategic priorities, the goals we aim to achieve by 2027, and the progress we’ve made so far in 2024.

 

  • Organizational Goals for 2024-27:

    • Expand sustainable programming from 14 urban markets to 20 urban markets

    Progress through 2025:

    • Progams in 17 urban markets

  • Organizational Goals for 2024-27:

    • 1,000 sustainable orchards/food forests

    Progress through 2025:

    • 740 orchards/food forests

  • Organizational Goals for 2024-27:

    • Identify and implement a recurring revenue stream

    • Developing 2 recurring revenue opportunities

    • Expand data-driven metrics for measuring the impact of Giving Grove programs on neighborhoods served

    • Giving Grove’s impact attracts 3 additional nationwide partnerships and sponsorships annually

    • Named national funding partner for USDA Forest Service funding; Received Innovation Prize from Hunger to Health Collaboratory; Developed new partnerships with Colour Republic, Wyld, and World Centric.

  • Organizational Goals for 2024-27:

    • Maintain diverse and active directors with national representation and complimentary competencies; develop an updated staffing plan for 2027 and beyond

    Progress through 2025:

    • Board members currently represent 4 regions. New national advisory committee launched, also representing 4 regions of the U.S.
